LaRayia Gaston is the founder of Lunch On Me, a non profit that supplies healthy, organic meals to the homeless community of Los Angeles. But it’s not just meals that they provide – they also hold yoga classes and birthday parties. Their organization is rooted in the philosophy that they can’t fix anyone. They see their role as to give love and mend hearts, which empowers people to want more in life. I learnt so much from talking to LaRayia, and I think you will too.

In This Conversation We Cover:

  • [8:13] What happened when LaRayia saw a man taking food from a dumpster at her uncle’s restaurant
  • [14:30] How her life is guided by her heart
  • [20:56] Why so many foster children become homeless
  • [24:53] The biggest misconceptions about homeless people
  • [28:00] Our responsibility to help
  • [29:15] Why money alone can’t solve homelessness
  • [38:13] Living off trust

Hi, I’m Rob!

Hi, I’m Rob! It has been said “You are not what you have learned, but what you’ve overcome.”

I have overcome my share of obstacles in order to architect the life of my dreams and uncover the key to lasting, meaningful success. Growing up in Queens (literally on the wrong side of the tracks), my early years were tumultuous, marked by hardship and violence.
